Wrocław, Poland is rapidly emerging as a core hub of Europe’s electric vehicle industry. By establishing a production plant and local subsidiary here, LG Energy Solution is contributing to the growth of the European EV ecosystem. At the same time, beyond battery manufacturing, the company is also actively practicing ESG management by growing together with the local community. Through initiatives such as expanding transportation infrastructure, operating a public daycare center, and supporting university research, LG Energy Solution continues to create positive changes in the regional economy and everyday life—fulfilling its role as a company that grows alongside its community. In this feature, we spoke with a PR and CSR representative from the Wrocław site to learn more about their local engagement efforts.
Q. Please introduce yourself and tell us about LG Energy Solution Wrocław where you work.

Hello! My name is Klaudia Piątek from LG Energy Solution’s Wrocław subsidiary. I work in the PR and CSR department, where I serve as a Communications Manager.

The Wrocław subsidiary is a key production hub leading lithium-ion battery manufacturing not only in Poland but across the European market. Located in Biskupice Podgórne, the production site employs around 7,000 people and collaborates with major automotive manufacturers worldwide.
Q. What efforts is LG Energy Solution Wrocław making to stimulate the Polish economy?
The automotive industry is one of the most important sectors driving technological innovation in the Polish economy. In that sense, every investment LG Energy Solution makes in Poland has a significant impact on the national economy—and goes on to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the European automotive industry as a whole.

for electric vehicles, creating a large number of jobs within the local community. In addition, the company actively pursues initiatives to grow together with the Kobierzyce region. This includes investments in local infrastructure such as road networks, sewage systems, and gas supply expansion.
LG Energy Solution also provides free transportation services for employees commuting from Wrocław and the surrounding Lower Silesia area. By operating around 30 bus routes, the company is improving regional accessibility. Thanks to this support, many young people are coming to Wrocław to study or find jobs, which has had a very positive impact on the city’s overall image.
Q. Could you introduce some of the local community projects currently being led by the Wrocław subsidiary?
Among the many community initiatives we run, the one that feels most meaningful to me is the opening of a daycare center for employees. What makes this project particularly special is that the daycare is operated as a public facility, allowing local residents to use it as well—providing real value to the wider community.

Another project I personally planned and implemented, and found both exciting and challenging, was the establishment of an E-Mobility laboratory at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. This project was particularly meaningful because it allowed LG Energy Solution, at the intersection of science and business, to support Poland’s scientific sector while collaborating with the university and exchanging knowledge. None of this would have been possible without our close partnership with Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
Q. What goals does LG Energy Solution Wrocław pursue through its community engagement activities?

LG Energy Solution’s Wrocław site aims to create a better future, going beyond simply adopting cutting-edge technologies and delivering products of outstanding quality. This means not only establishing the right direction for responsible corporate management, but also strengthening overall security across the company and, above all, ensuring the safety of its employees.
To me, this is what responsibility truly means. As an organization that showcases cutting-edge technologies and leads the world forward, LG Energy Solution takes responsibility for how it helps shape the future and remains committed to moving in the most responsible and right direction.
We had the opportunity to hear firsthand about local engagement initiatives from Klaudia Piątek of LG Energy Solution Wrocław.
